Before Industrial Treasures, we were just Dewell & Dewell...
Dewell & Dewell Incorporated was founded in 1986 in a small arctic military surplus quonset hut building in downtown Batavia, Illinois.
Ten years later, we moved across town to a much larger facility, in the former Lingren Foundry building on Mallory.
In 2018, we relocated to our current, more functional warehouse in St. Charles, which has a truck dock.
What began as an equipment sourcing enterprise for the vintage race car business that we started in the 70's, grew into a full time business liquidation venture. Then.... All through the years, we found such cool stuff in the course of working with other companies, selling off divisions, moving, liquidating, cleaning house, that we opened a showroom/retail store to give us the ability to offer more of those interesting and useful items to more people. Thus, Industrial Treasures was born. Our 8000 square foot retail store is directly next to our warehouse. This has been a truly exciting evolution and quite an adventure. We are meeting the most fantastic people and learning so much from our customers!
The basic mission is still the same: Offer people the opportunity to purchase unusual and practical items that will enrich their lives and help the planet by repurposing things that might be otherwise lost.
